Fotografía de obra is a studio dedicated to the documentation of artworks and exhibitions, created and directed by Catalina Romero.
The team is made up of photographers and retouchers, based in Buenos Aires and headquartered in Madrid.
Fotografía de Obra proposes documentary-style images that are minimalist, easy to read, with clear lines and structures, and neutral light.
Catalina Romero
(Buenos Aires, Argentina. 1989)
I live and work between Buenos Aires and Madrid.
In 2018 I founded Fotografía de Obra, a professional art photography service, through which we collaborate with institutions such as Andreani Foundation, Barro, Calvaresi, Isla Flotante, Liga, Malba, Pampa Collection, Proa 21, Quimera, Revolver, Santander Foundation, Talenta, w-w-w.
I studied Combined Arts at UBA and photography at the Andy Goldstein School. The educational spaces that shaped my vision of art were Diana Aisenberg's artwork clinic - which I attended for 4 years -, Guillermo Ueno's photography workshop, Alberto Goldenstein's project clinic, and the workshop Leer para Diseñar, coordinated by Diego Valiña.
I am interested in focusing on the importance of professional art documentation. For this reason, I participate as a teacher in educational spaces and share tips and tools on my social networks so that artists can self-manage. My latest free course can be seen on the Impulso Digital platform of the Buenos Aires City Government .
